Smart Rig

Smart Rig is a program for Maya that lets you rig a biped character in minutes. Features include IK/FK switch, scalable rig, a control window, scalable control curves to fit your model.

Smart Rig is a MEL script written by Neil Mclean and me as a final for a programming class in Digital Media Arts College. Many people have used the script since it was created and it has received positive reviews

Instructions and limitations on using Smart Rig

- After installing the script to any folder on your computer, open Maya and source the script. To run the program, type in Welcomewindow();

- The number of fingers cannot be modified. It should be left to its default values.

- Once the Smart Rig window is closed, it cannot be reopened.

- This script is governed by Creative Commons. You will have to review and accept the license before installing the sccript.
